After much prayer and reflection, it is with a renewed and optimistic spirit that we announce the closing of Los Vaqueros University, effective immediately. This decision was not easy, as our ties to TCU run deep. Our oldest daughter is an alumnae of the TCU class of 2008. We are proud supporters of TCU and the surrounding Fort Worth community – and always will be.

In order to best serve you, we thought it necessary to refocus our efforts to Los Vaqueros Stockyards, the location where it all began. For more than 25 years, we have had the honor of serving you. Now, we have the unique opportunity to offer you something new – patio dining in the beautiful gardens of Los Vaqueros Stockyards, live music on the weekends, new menu specials, and much more. We will feature the almost-famous “Frogarita” at the Stockyards location ($3 on TCU Game Day), pre-made TCU tailgate packages, and other menu items developed at the University restaurant.

Most importantly, this decision allows more personal time for the Cisneros family to spend together. We are a family who loves one another and we know the value of quality time together. We also have deep and personal feelings for our customers, and we are proud to be a part of the Fort Worth community. Please know that we appreciate your support over the past years, whether you have been our customer at the Stockyards, West, or University, you are greatly appreciated; we couldn’t do it without you!
